Dixon Hard Chrome is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the safe, compliant, and effective execution of our aerospace special-processing operations.
This hands-on leadership position is responsible for daily production execution, planning and schedule attainment, capacity and constraint management, labor productivity, WIP flow, on-time delivery, first-pass yield, and development of production supervisors and technicians.
The Operations Manager will lead activities supporting hard chrome, cadmium, electroless nickel, chemical conversion/coating, passivation, cleaning and blasting, masking, baking, NDT interfaces, inspection, and shipping/receiving.
What We’re Looking For
Candidates should bring progressive manufacturing and operations experience with significant leadership responsibility in aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, or regulated special processing. Direct experience with aerospace metal finishing, electroplating, chemical processing, or a closely related special-process environment is strongly desired.

Aerospace Finishing, Plating & Special Processes

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead Dixon Hard Chrome’s aerospace Quality Management System and special-process compliance activities.
This position is responsible for ensuring that products and processes conform to customer, regulatory, specification, Nadcap, FAA Repair Station, and applicable quality-system requirements while supporting the development and implementation of the systems necessary for AS9100 readiness.
The Quality Manager will provide leadership for areas including:
- Quality Management System development and AS9100 readiness
- Nadcap and special-process compliance
- Inspection and inspection technique sheets
- NCR/MRB and corrective action
- Document and specification control
- Calibration and measurement systems
- NDT oversight
- Chemical-processing quality
- Internal, customer and regulatory audits
- Supplier quality
- Quality metrics and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
Candidates should have progressive aerospace Quality experience and demonstrated knowledge of AS9100, aerospace specifications, corrective action, inspection and special-process controls. Experience supporting Nadcap audits and aerospace plating or metal-finishing operations is strongly preferred.
We are looking for a Quality leader who is comfortable on the production floor, technically credible, disciplined in follow-through, and capable of protecting product conformity while working collaboratively with Operations to solve problems at their source.
Aerospace Plating, Chemical Processing & Precision Machined Components

Dixon Hard Chrome is seeking a Process Engineer to provide technical ownership for assigned aerospace plating and finishing processes.
The Process Engineer will develop robust, repeatable, specification-compliant processing methods for precision aerospace components while working closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Planning, and production personnel.
Key areas include hard chrome, cadmium, electroless nickel, masking, chemical conversion coating, passivation, Nital Etch, cleaning, activation, stripping, baking, and associated surface-preparation operations. The position will also develop process/technique sheets and master routings and translate customer drawings, purchase orders, and aerospace specifications into controlled shop-floor instructions.
What We’re Looking For
Candidates should have process or manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace metal finishing, electroplating, chemical processing, or a comparable special-process environment. Hands-on technical knowledge of hard chrome and cadmium plating is particularly important.
This position is ideal for a technically strong, hands-on engineer who enjoys solving process problems, improving repeatability, developing technicians, and converting technical requirements into practical manufacturing controls.

We are hiring Plating Technicians at multiple skill levels, from individuals developing their plating skills through experienced senior technicians.
Plating Technicians perform controlled aerospace metal finishing and special-processing operations in accordance with approved work instructions, customer purchase orders, drawings, specifications, process routings, and Dixon Hard Chrome procedures. Advancement is based on demonstrated capability, process knowledge, quality performance, independence, and the ability to safely process increasingly complex aerospace hardware.
Depending upon training and qualification, technicians may work with:
- Hard Chrome Plating
- Cadmium Plating
- Electroless Nickel Plating
- Chemfilm / Chemical Conversion Coating
- Passivation
- Nital Etch
- Masking and demasking
- Cleaning and surface preparation
- Stress-relief and hydrogen-embrittlement relief baking
- Racking, fixturing and anode setup
- NDT process interfaces
- Inspection, packaging and shipping interfaces
What We’re Looking For
Successful candidates should be able to follow detailed work instructions and controlled manufacturing processes, work safely in an industrial chemical-processing environment, accurately document their work, protect customer hardware, and demonstrate reliability, workmanship, integrity, and teamwork. Aerospace plating, Nadcap, blueprint/specification reading, masking, racking, and troubleshooting experience are increasingly important for more advanced technician positions.
Dixon supports training, cross-training, and skill progression, with experienced technicians also helping mentor and develop other members of the team.
