Salary: $18 – $23 per hour

Job Summary:

Conducts Liquid Penetrant Testing and other Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) using specific techniques on aerospace products. Uses knowledge of products, manufacturing processes, equipment set-up, and NDT methods to process parts for inspection following specific operating procedures. Interprets and evaluates test results.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Review routers, procedures, specifications, drawings and other instructions for completeness and instructions to perform operation · Process part(s) in accordance with procedures and technical instructions to evaluate for welding, machining, cold forming, and/or casting discontinuities exceeding requirements specified · Set-up, operate, calibrate, and perform Process Control Checks on NDT (Liquid Penetrant Test, Magnetic Particle Test) equipment by following established instructions and record results · Interpret, evaluate, and report evaluation results as required and outlined · Fill out required logs and statistical data sheets as required · Clean equipment and ensures it is working properly, and clean and maintain work area as needed · May perform other NDT as qualified for and as required (visual, Penetrant, Magnetic Particle) · Maintain required job skills and knowledge of requirements (including procedures, specifications, etc.) · Maintain work area, equipment, and all documents/records to be audit ready at all times · Provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) to Level I NDT Inspectors, trainees and fellow Level II NDT Inspectors · Assist the Level III in developing specific test techniques.

  • Performs the above and other assigned duties in a safe, quality focused manner. Ability to speak Spanish would be an asset.

Experience:

  • Nadcap and aerospace: 1 year (Required).
  • Non-destructive testing: 1 year (Required).
  • Microsoft Word: 1 year (Preferred).

Your primary mission is to diversify to new customers and markets, achieve grow objectives and provide timely and accurate prices.

The ideal candidate is a motivated, well-organized individual who has an understanding of aerospace industry AND who has experience driving sales/business development department.  The role is accountable for customer relationship for existing, potential and new customers. They would research, develop and execute the commercial strategy for the organization and is the definitive voice of the customer in all commercial related aspects.

The leader will be involved in setting and managing sales, targets, budgets, influence on gross margins and pricing.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive business results, entering new markets and geographies globally.
  • Submits short and long-range sales plans and prepares sales strategies utilizing available marketing programs to reach nominated targets.
  • Maintain company client database while identifying opportunities of growth with new and existing customers.
  • Measurement customer satisfaction.
  • Acquisition of new customers within target revenue and margins as set by the business.
  • Coordinates customer requests and needs with internal departments for further processing and actions.
  • Negotiate cost, timeline, technical specification etc., and provide consultation as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 5 + years of experience in sales, business development in the aerospace industry or manufacturing.
  • Familiar with Aerospace specifications and metal finishing is an asset.
  • Strong leadership skills in team environment and skills to bring positive atmosphere to the team.
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform duties time efficiently.
  • Customer focus, analytical thinking, influence others, leading teams.
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and product specifications.

A university degree required (i.e. Bachelor’s degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
